Oh, That Media Bias
I seem to recall the major networks covered the first night of the Dems in Boston. In fact, I thought they carried footage all four nights.

McCain -- as close to a media darling as the Repubs have to offer -- is currently giving a speech, which is carried only by our local PBS affiliate. I don't have cable or satellite, so I don't have a clue what kind of coverage this is getting elsewhere.
Disappointing, if not very surprising.
Update: Rudy Giuliani's on now, and the three "majors" are still showing their normal lineup. What is the effin' deal???

They also have the video of the speeches at the NT Times website in case you miss any of them. Rudy was, well, just dreamy.

The big 3 didn't carry the third night
of the Democrats's convention. I am surprised
that they've decided not to follow the same
format as before. They're not usually this
blatant. Is there a national shortage of mood
altering chemicals?

I think the majority of us have cable, and CSPAN has the best coverage.
My feeling, if you don't have cable, you're probally not going to be voting for GW anyways.

Veruka, Down here on the prairie, I get a pretty good broadcast signal so we don't need cable.
I use the cable $$$ for other goodies like broadband internet, DVDs, CDs, etc. And I'm voting for Bush, too.
I'm more upset since the broadcast networks have a government-granted monopoly (a license) to use part of the public airwaves. I would prefer a different system, but under this system, I think they should carry equal amounts of coverage of the various political parties or NO coverage at all. Slanting, picking, and choosing is what raises my ire. . .
