Thanks also for the links to the articles agreeing with my suspicions about the Toccata and Fugue in d-minor: I had no earthly idea there was so much good evidence supporting my hypothesis. I'm no musicologist, but I've analyzed enough of JS' music over the years to have a fairly good idea of his stylistic dos and don'ts. I just belatedlty discovered Wikipedia recently, and it's a good resource, but I understand its open nature makes fact-checking it a good idea. Cheers! George
